Fun Camps at Carle Irish Dance are full-day, themed camps designed for kids ages 5–13 who need a great place to be during both gaps between school and summer.

Based in Johnson City, we're centrally located for families across Broome County, including Binghamton, Vestal, Union-Endicott, Maine-Endwell, Chenango Valley, and all surrounding districts. Every session runs Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. Register for a single day at $50, or lock in the full week for $175. Advance registration required.

The Sessions

🕵️ Action Academy — June 22–25 Spy training camp. Kids earn a code name on Day 1 and spend the week completing timed obstacle courses, breaking codes, building gadgets, and running team relay missions. Thursday is the Final Mission — a full relay championship where every agent gets to show what they've built all week.

⚙️ Makers & Movers — June 29–July 2 Engineering meets athletics. Each day campers build something new — bridges, catapults, boats, marble runs — and then race a timed obstacle course. Thursday's Makers Challenge combines both: a build showcase and a team relay championship.

🧭 Epic Explorers — August 24–27 Four days, four terrains. Monday is the Jungle, Tuesday is the Ocean, Wednesday is the Arctic, and Thursday is the Desert — each with its own themed obstacle course, survival build challenge, and a stamp in the explorer's passport. Thursday ends with the Explorer's Gauntlet: all four terrains combined into one mega obstacle course.

🏆 Bold & Brave — September 1–4 The perfect back-to-school week. Campers track personal best obstacle course times from Monday through Thursday, work through team challenges and partner activities, and close the week with a relay championship. Yoga is woven throughout every day — framed as athletic preparation and mental focus. Every camper leaves with a completion certificate and something to be proud of heading into the new school year.

What Every Day Looks Like

Every camp day follows the same reliable rhythm: a physical warmup, a hands-on build or craft, a snack break, the day's main event (usually an obstacle course or team challenge), lunch, outdoor play, an afternoon challenge, free choice time, and a yoga-led wind-down to close. Kids settle in fast because they know what's coming — and parents appreciate the consistency. Who It's For Ages 5–13, mixed on purpose. Older kids naturally step into leadership roles. Younger kids bring fearless energy. The combination makes both groups better, and it's one of the things that makes Fun Camps feel different from a typical program. No Irish dance experience needed. These are general fun camps — the obstacle courses, building challenges, and team games are the focus. All activities are accessible to every camper regardless of background or ability.

Registration

Register for any days you need — you're not locked into a full week. $50 per day or $175 for the full Mon–Thu session. Spots are limited and fill quickly, especially Sessions 1 and 2. Advance registration is required for all attendees.
