Ready to show your kids the world without leaving Binghamton? Grab your "passports" and head over to The Discovery Center of the Southern Tier on Saturday, April 25!
The annual Kids' Cultural Kaleidoscope is returning for a vibrant, high-energy celebration of the diverse traditions that make our community so special. Partnering with Binghamton University and local community members, The Discovery Center is transforming into a global festival from 10AM-2PM, with over 25 nations represented!
What to Expect
This isn't just a "look and see" event—it’s a "do and taste" experience! Whether your little ones love to dance, craft, or snack, there is something for every explorer:
🌍Live Performances: Feel the rhythm with African dancers, witness a Chinese Lion Dance, and get moving with a mariachi singer.
🌍International Fashion Show: See the stunning colors and patterns of traditional dress from around the world.
🌍Hands-on Learning: Explore cultural displays and watch live craft demonstrations that bring international customs to life.
🌍Global Flavors: Sample foods from different continents.
Where: The Discovery Center, 60 Morgan Rd. Binghamton, NY
All festivities are included free with museum admission, which is $10 for non-members and free for members and infants under one. Discounted rates are also available for seniors, veterans, and families participating in the Museums for All program.
Pro-Tip: This event is incredible! We recommend arriving early to catch the full lineup of musical performances and to ensure you get a chance to try all the food samplings before they're gone.
