Looking for the perfect Sunday afternoon activity filled with free fun for the kids? Head over to SUNY Broome for the 43rd Annual Children's Fair on Sunday, April 26th! April is the "Month of the Young Child," and our community is celebrating in a big way with a day dedicated entirely to our littlest neighbors and their families.
This year’s theme, "All the Colors of the Earth, Together We Color the World," promises plenty of interactive ways to play, learn, and grow together.

- Where: SUNY Broome Student Center - 907 Front St, Binghamton, NY
- Cost: FREE Admission! (Please consider bringing a non-perishable donation for CHOW to help local families in need).
What’s Happening?
The SUNY Broome Student Center will be transformed into a hub of excitement. Whether your child is an aspiring athlete, a budding artist, or a lover of big machines, there is something here for everyone:
- Hands-on Activities: Interactive stations designed specifically for young, curious minds.
- Big Trucks: Get up close and personal with some impressive vehicles!
- Free Book: Every family that comes will receive a special book, "All the Colors of the Earth" by Sheila Hamanaka, as a gift from our community, made possible by Broome County Executive Jason Garnar as part of the Literacy Legacy Project.
- Movement & Dance: Enjoy demos from Chenango Gymnastics, Soccer Shots, and even some Irish Dancing.
- Wellness & Arts: Relax with Yoga for Kids, explore Music Therapy, and hang out with the team from WSKG.
- Community Resources: Meet with local organizations dedicated to supporting families in the Southern Tier.
Why We Celebrate
This event is hosted by the NYAEYC (National Association of the Education of Young Children), the SUNY Broome Teacher Education Department, and the BECA Student Club (Broome Educators of Children Association). It’s more than just a fair; it’s a way to honor the children, families, and caregivers who make our community bright.
