Are you looking for a fun, engaging, and flexible solution for childcare during the upcoming school breaks? The Southern Tier Community Center (STCC) is once again stepping up to provide an enriching and convenient Winter Break Childcare Program for local families!

Parents often struggle to find safe, dynamic care between the holidays. This program solves that problem by offering care on an a la carte daily basis, meaning you only pay for the days you actually need.

Dates, Times, & Location

The STCC Winter Break Childcare Program is available on the following weekdays: December 22, 23, 29, & 30, 2025 and January 2, 2026 from 7AM to 5:30PM. The program, located at the Southern Tier Community Center (1 Club House Rd, Endicott, NY) is for children ages 5 to 12. Parents can pick and choose exactly which days they need care!

Exciting Activities & Educational Fun

This isn't just basic supervision; the STCC offers a packed schedule focused on fun, hands-on learning, and recreation.

Field Trips: A Holiday Tradition

Kids will get out of the center for special, festive outings. Field trips are planned to make the most of the holiday season! This year, STCC will be taking the kids to visit the Roberson Museum to see the festive Home for the Holidays trees and watch the Christmas Planetarium show.

Arts & STEM Recreation

The program blends creative arts with engaging science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities:

  • Creative Fun: Making special holiday ornaments, New Year's crafts, and working on New Year's resolutions.
  • STEM Challenges: Building little sleds to test friction on ice and constructing unique snowflakes out of marshmallows.
  • Culinary Experience: A special cooking program with SUNY Broome to create fun, cultural meals, including a "build your own tacos" day!
